Thursday in Perth
Another hot sunny day with a clear blue sky.
Angela and I went off and had a most relaxing pedicure, real treat.
After lunch we all went to Hillarys Marina, a buzzing place, lots of people swimming in the sea and the shops were busy.
On the way home we went to another beach to see the kite surfers and wind surfers in action.
Another nice evening meal outside.

Our first day with David and Angela
We arrived in Perth at 15.30 yesterday. David was at the airport with Shari and the 2 little boys, Rhys and Ethan. The first time we had met the children.
We had such a super welcome. Angela was at home to welcome us with a cup of tea and mince pie!!
We had a good evening, with a cocktail and a delicious meal whilst sitting outside, perfect.
Today we woke early to a clear blue sky. We had breakfast down at Mindarie Quays whilst sitting outside,it was very warm even at 8.30 am!!
We also did some shopping and later had a walk along the wonderful beach. Another nice meal outside.

Time for food
It seems that now we are off the ship we have to keep paying for food!!
We woke up to rain this morning so that is the main reason we did the city hop on hop off bus journey.
It was interesting starting from Circular Quay then right through the city. We were downstairs in the bus so no pics were possible.
Then the bus broke down. The front doors kept opening stopping the driver from driving. Conveniently we were round the corner from the Bondi Beach bus so we (just) caught it.
Bondi is not so attractive in the rain. So we stayed on the bus and decided to visit the excellent museum.
The Australian Museum in Sydney was well worth the visitors fee. They display a wide variety of historical items, but we were well impressed by the skeleton hall and the mineral dsplays.
From there we got back on the bus to Central station and switched back to the City tour bus, and stayed on it until we got to Darling Harbour.
There it started to rain quite heavily again so we visited the shops and had yet another fresh orange drink.
We got on the ferry back to Circular Quay and we are now waiting for another thunderstorm to pass whilst we enjoy more slimming food.
So now it will be running through the rain back to our excellent hotel in time to do our packing ahead of starting our trip to Perth for the next phase of my sabbatical.

Hello Darling (Harbour)
Just completed a day using hop on buses to site see Sydney.
We have enjoyed Bondi Beach in the rain and spent valuable time in the Australian Museum, even bumping into a young man from Rochdale.
Now we are on the way back to Circular Quay on the ferry.
