We got up at 4.45am as we wanted to see the sunrise coming into Sydney Harbour. We were allowed on the helipad at the bow of the ship just below the bridge.
There were only about 20 of us there.
It was amazing, the sky was red and all the lights were on in the city.
We got this shot of the opera house as the ship was turning to go into the terminal just before the harbour bridge, we would not fit under the bridge.
Once at the terminal we all had breakfast and then had to disembark. We were off the ship by 10.00 and it was all very organised and smooth.
We had cruised a total of 3778 nautical miles.
We walked to Circular Quay with our Aussie friends and we then had to say our goodbyes as they went on their way to the station and then the airport while we walked up to our hotel.
Thank you to you all, it was great meeting you and we will keep in touch and meet up again!!
We left our cases at the hotel and then went back to the quay to have a coffee and get the ferry to Manly.
A great place, we walked along The Parade by the beach and saw lots of people surfing, it really was buzzing.
Lovely views across to the other Northern beaches.
We are now back at the hotel and getting some washing done, there is a machine here!!
Having skipped lunch we are getting ready to go out for a meal.
