Today we met up with Patsy and Mike who live in this beautiful part of the world.
Judith's and Patsy's mothers were great friends when they lived In Hampshire although Patsy and Judith have never met each other before today.
Patsy's mother emigrated to New Zealand in the late 1980's but Judith's mum did visit New Zealand and stayed with Patsy and Mike.
We have nevertheless stayed In touch since the mothers' have passed on, and today was therefore a very special day for all 4 of us.
Mike and Patsy gave us the best possible guided tour which included a visit to the Maori Cultural Performance at the Aukland Museum.
Mike and Patsy are both very knowledgable about the exhibits and gave us additional information about the history of Auckland.
We toured the area and enjoyed a lunch at Devonport. We visited the district of Milford the name of which holds special memories to both our families.
We went to a viewpoint on top of an extinct volcano and saw our ship from a distance.
During the tour we saw some lovely beaches and some of the many marinas.
We finished the day with a cup of coffee and were safely delivered back to the ship.
Thank you Patsy and Mike for a great day.

That sounds fantastic! Great that you can connect in such a way while on the other side of the world.....!
