The far south of South Island

What a day we have had, have seen such wonderful scenery. First Milford Sound at 7.00am, the ship went right into the sound up to Bowen Falls, the sun came out and the tops of some of the high mountains could be seen. We were take extremely close to Stirling Falls and we were standing on the helipad and could feel the spray from the waterfall. The next sound was Doubtful Sound (Captain Cook named it). We then went into Dusky Sound which is where Captain Cook found a harbour to shelter and get his boats repaired. All the scenery is stunning and the sun has been shining but it is very cold, the wind is blowing up from Antarctica it is 10 degrees now and the sea is calm, the first calm sea we have had. We are now in Foveaux Strait, in the morning we will be in Port Chalmers We are spending the day in Dunedin, which is the Edinburgh of the South
